Finalists for Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40 are revealed

Moncton (NB) — Forty individuals under the age of 40 have been selected as finalists for the fourth edition of Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40. The event organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton and the Hub City Young Professionals Network will recognize 20 individuals from the list of finalists on May 26th, 2022.

The finalists are all making a difference in the community. They are involved in multiple fields of expertise, but they all play a leadership role whether it is in business, politics, the arts, non-profits, education, the environment, health care or public service.

Chamber of Commerce CEO, John Wishart, said that all candidates are very successful in their respective sphere of activity. In addition to this success, they are also leaders on the community scene of Southeast New Brunswick.

“All finalists selected have already an accomplished career at a young age, but what separates them is their commitment in shaping their community’s future”, said Wishart.

The nomination process was open online until March 23rd, and we received more than 130 nominations. The Greater Moncton Top 20 Under 40 Advisory Board, consisting of six independent judges from the community, reviewed all candidates and selected the names of the 40 finalists that we are revealing today.

Patrick Richard, founder of the Hub City Young Professionals Network, noted the selection process was rigorous. Committee members had to review very complete and detailed candidatures.

“Once again this year, the selection of the finalists was a lengthy process, because of the quality and the caliber of the candidates”, said Richard. “The members of the committee were not surprised to receive all these excellent nominations, we knew that these change-makers existed in our region”.

“To select only 40 finalists was again this year extremely hard”, he added.
