2024 Business Excellence Awards
The goal of the annual CCGM Business Excellence Awards is to encourage entrepreneurship in the region and enhance the image of the finalists and winners by celebrating the excellence of our entrepreneurs.
Below are a description of the categories.
This flagship event will celebrate its 39th edition on Thursday, October 10th, 2024
Excellence in Business
The finalists in this category have demonstrated excellence in business operations in a number of areas such as production, marketing, sales, quality control, customer service, human resources, financial management, etc. They are clearly viewed by peers as leaders in business excellence and have demonstrated the best aspects of an entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, the finalists have a proven record of community involvement and are role models for the business community.

Excellence in Business (SME)
The finalists have 100 employees or less. They have demonstrated excellence in business operations in a number of areas such as production, marketing, sales, quality control, customer service, etc. They are clearly viewed by peers as leaders in business excellence and have demonstrated the best aspects of an entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, the finalists have a proven record of community involvement and are role models for the business community.

Emerging Business
The finalists in the category have been operating within the Greater Moncton community for at least three years but less than five years. They are profitable and have demonstrated remarkable growth, innovation and leadership in their industry sector.
Giving Back to the Community
The finalists have been involved in the social, cultural and/or economic well-being of the Greater Moncton area and has committed to community service through either staff or financial involvement.

Innovation
These finalists have created a new and unique business concept or have applied innovative improvements to existing processes, products or services. There is a degree of success associated with the utilization of the innovation, with productivity improvements and increased sales as a result.
Non-profit Organization of the year
The finalists for non-profit organization have been operational for at least three years and have made an outstanding contribution to the social, cultural and economic well-being of the Greater Moncton area. They have demonstrated stability, maintaining a good relationship with its volunteers, best business practices, and strong board governance.

Young Entrepreneur
The finalists in this category are Greater Moncton’s brightest young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 40. They are recognized for their innovative spirit, business acumen and affinity towards the community and youth entrepreneurship.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The finalists in this category have demonstrated exceptional diversity, equity and inclusion in their workplace, including leadership in hiring and retaining newcomers, people with visible and non-visible disabilities and visible minorities, and have given them the necessary training, wages and support to successfully transition to the workforce. The criteria to select a finalist also includes how they have helped individuals and their families in other ways – outside the workplace – to integrate into the community.
